Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023

Privacy Policy

Triax Solicitors processes personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. This notice explains what we collect, why, and your rights.

What we collect

Details you give us through the consultation, newsletter, careers and pro bono volunteer forms: your name, company, contact details, the description of your matter, any CV you upload, and the case portfolio lawyers share when volunteering for the pro bono team.

Why we use it

To respond to your enquiry, assess and manage legal matters, send the newsletter you confirmed, assess job applications, and review applications to join the pro bono team. Volunteer applications are seen only by the firm's administrators and are never listed publicly. The lawful bases are your consent and steps taken at your request before engagement.

Sharing

Client data is kept private within the firm and is not shared outside the firm, except where the law requires it or with service providers that host our systems under confidentiality obligations.

Security and retention

Data is held in access-controlled, encrypted storage with role-based permissions and audit logging. We keep matter records for as long as professional obligations require.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, withdraw consent, or object to processing. Newsletter subscribers can unsubscribe at any time. Contact info@triaxsolicitors.ng. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
